Everyday Wisdom #19

Life is a highway

We are all on the journey called life.

On life’s road there are all sorts of  obstacles and difficulties.

Sometimes the journey is rough, and bumpy.  Othertimes it is smooth, and we travel along contentedly.

On this journey we have the opportunity to talk to other passengers.  To travel with them.  At other times we travel by ourselves.

The scenery will change, the passengers will change.  But we have the opportunity to cultivate the state of mind to adjust to the changes, and continue on with our journey.

The key is to relax and enjoy the ride.

“Life is a series of natural and spontaneous changes. Don’t resist them – that only creates sorrow. Let reality be reality. Let things flow naturally forward in whatever way they like.”

– Lao-Tzu

Man is an adaptable creature.Change is not a new word for us humans, but whats important is to continue moving in life, just like the clear waters of the spring. The moment we stop, we become contaminated, then there’s no hope to come back in shape. If we keep on moving in life, we can leave all the impurities behind and turn out much clear and pure than before, on our way, we must certainly enjoy the serene surroundings, the uphill difficult parts as well as the easier travels through the plains, the beauty and colors of life are precious, we may never be able to capture them again.
